The Cause
The root cause: a need for clean water. The answer is to dig water wells to supply the village with a constant source of good, clean water. By readily having access to such a vital component of life, villagers of Okokoma will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of an entire society. The health, wellness, and stability of the community will increase, especially in the lives of women and children. Women, who currently live to an average age of 40, will be able to learn and teach their children the importance of sanitation and caring for themselves. Villagers will be trained to maintain the wells and sanitize the water. Stores will be attached to the wells that will sell articles in order to maintain the equipment and staffing. Villagers will staff the facilities around the clock for safety, security, and daily cleaning. Overall, the addition of wells to this community will bring a greater passion for life and a greater interest in education and commerce.

Our Need
With your help, we are going to build four water wells in this community. With a cost of $13,000 for each water well project, we must raise $52,000. The project involves getting heavy machinery out to the almost impassable sites, digging, and setting up the well equipment.

For many generations to come, this water will be a sustainer of life and hope for the community of Okokoma. A community filled with ambition, creativity, and invention. A community full of vigor and livelihood. A community where life is not based on survival but based on living. Can you SEE it now?
